How to Submit Work for Publication (and Manage Rejection): A Two-Part Writing Workshop

The first part of this workshop will help you navigate the world of writing submissions to journals and other publications. The second part will provide tips on how to survive rejection – and persevere to publication.  The Candlelight Writing Workshops at River Bend Bookshop is taught by a longtime New York Times writer, essayist and Creative Writing MFA from Sarah Lawrence College.

The Art of Story Structure: A Writing Workshop

Using poetry, the essay, short story and long-form approaches, this four-week course is designed to help you create and organize your story. A combined craft class/workshop, it will be taught by a longtime New York Times writer, essayist and Creative Writing MFA from Sarah Lawrence College.

 

When: 6:30 p.m., four consecutive Tuesdays, from November 5 – November 26.

Candlelight Writing Workshops at River Bend Bookshop offers an eight-week course designed to help you discover and hone your writing voice. Taught by a longtime New York Times writer, essayist and Creative Writing MFA from Sarah Lawrence College.
